The short version
AI Safety Resources — both the website and the mobile app — is a catalog you browse. We don't require accounts, we don't use ads, and we never sell or share your data. The mobile app contains no analytics, advertising, or trackers. The website uses analytics to understand overall traffic; see Website analytics below.
Mobile app
The AI Safety Resources mobile app stores your reading list and progress (saved and finished resources) only on your device. This data never leaves your phone, is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and is deleted when you delete the app. The app requests no permissions and contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking code. Resource cover images are loaded from the public websites that host them (for example Wikipedia); those requests are subject to the host's own policies.
Website
Browsing the website requires no account. Reading-list progress is stored in your browser's local storage. If you choose to create an optional sync account, we store the email address you provide and your reading-list data solely to provide cross-device sync; we never sell or share it. If you submit a suggestion or contact message, the details you enter are emailed to the site maintainer to act on your message and are not used for anything else.
Website analytics
The website uses Google Analytics to help us understand how the site is used in aggregate — for example which pages are visited and roughly where in the world visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects device and usage information that is processed by Google; see Google's privacy policy for how Google handles this data. The homepage also uses Simple Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that uses no cookies and collects no personal data. We use analytics only to measure overall traffic — not for advertising — and we never sell or share the data.
If you are visiting from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, Google Analytics cookies are off by default and are only set if you opt in through the consent banner — either with Accept, or by enabling Analytics under Configure. Essential storage (your theme and reading list) lives only on your device and needs no consent. You can change your choice at any time via cookie settings.
